JAMES SYLVESTER MEMORIAL HEROISM AWARD

 

Established in 2007 to recognize any PWANJ Member who has performed an outstanding act of life saving valor for a citizen or community above and beyond the call of citizenship. It is not intended to be an annual award. It is named in the memory of a Public Works Superintendent employed by Mount Ephraim, New Jersey who died fighting a house fire while serving as a volunteer Fire Chief on July 4, 2002.
