James Sylvester was a valued member of the Public Works Association of New Jersey whose dedication to public service and commitment to his community exemplified the very best of the public works profession. Throughout his career, James demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and his willingness to serve others. James made the ultimate selfless sacrifice while serving in the line of duty as a volunteer firefighter. His courage, dedication, and commitment to protecting and serving his community will never be forgotten.
